Ugh. Three. Months. Old. Watching Millie grow is such a bittersweet thing. On one hand, I love watching her reach her milestones. I feel so proud of her every time she masters something new. On the other, I’m emotional as my tiny girl continues to get less and less tiny.
The jump from month two to three has been the most action packed yet. She hit more milestones this month than I was even expecting.
At just ten weeks and in two days time, Millie mastered rolling over- both ways. Ya’ll, I swear I’ve never cheered for any football team the way I cheered for her when she did rolled over for the first time. And when she rolled back to tummy the next day- I called everyone I knew. She’s now a rolling fool, and capturing these monthly photos of her is becoming increasingly more difficult. She won’t stay still!
This month Millie began reaching for her toys and is still learning how to really grasp them with good hand control. She’s beginning to occupy herself a lot more and nursing less. We're averaging about four naps a day now, and she's still sleeping incredibly at night. I’m anticipating a terrible toddler, because she’s really just been way too good of a baby!
This month came with so much drool too! I’ve had to stock up on tons of drool scarves because without them, Millie’s clothes are soaked to the belly button. She still prefers her thumb and mommy, to any pacifier she meets.
Thing's we've learned about Millie:
She is very ticklish on her neck!
Is fascinated with her hands.
Loves big brother soooo much! Smiles so big whenever he’s nearby.
Enjoys being outside, and anywhere she can look around!
Sleeps best next to mommy.
Loves when you let her stand up.
Prefers tummy time to being on her back now.
Still hates getting dressed/undressed.
Mill, Millie, Emmy
Smiles at familiar faces (Mommy, Daddy, Big brother.)
Can see much further.
Entertains herself more.
Has excellent head control, moves head side to side, and can go unsupported while being held.
Plays with toys.
Consistently communicates her needs.
Notices bold patterns.
Follows moving objects with her eyes.
I’m really loving this age she’s at. She’s so active and playful, and is all around the best baby. Life is so much better with her in it. I can’t wait to see even more of her personality come out.
